In 10 years, on the basis of the Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute, a faculty for training and advanced training for school directors was opened. The work of the institute in independent Kazakhstan

After the collapse of the USSR, which included Kazakhstan, many educational institutions came under the jurisdiction of the state, many of them increased the level of accreditation. In 1994, the Pavlodar Institute was included in the Pavlodar State University.

After 10 years, the authorities decided to withdraw Pavlodar pedagogical institute under the jurisdiction of the university, making it an independent educational unit. In 2017, the educational institution receives the IV level of accreditation, it is awarded the title of university.

University today

Today, a higher educational institution trains specialists in the specialties that they study at these four faculties:

In 2016, the administration of the university adopted a special document that defines the development strategy of the university for the next five years, until 2021 inclusive. The strategy involves work in several important areas.

  • Secondly, the development and support of youth policy, including such aspects as the education of patriotism among the younger generation, their involvement in socio-economic projects.

On the balance sheet of the university there is a hostel where nonresident students can get a place in this hostel for comfortable living and learning. However, the administration plans to build several more hostels for its students. The university invites private investors within the framework of the "Public-Private Partnership" for the construction of two dormitories at the Pavlodar Pedagogical University.

One of the dormitories will have 550 beds, the second - 750.

The university management also actively supports student self-government. A student alliance, a KVN youth league, etc. work on the basis of the university.

Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute (PPI) was opened on December 1, 1962. For almost a year it was located on the fourth floor of school No. 3, with four classrooms. Stream lectures were held in recreation areas. At two faculties: historical-philological and physical-mathematical - 150 people studied; classes were taught by 14 teachers. More than 50% of enrolled students had more than two years of work experience. Nonresident students lived in private apartments, in the old building of school No. 3; by the summer of 1964, hostel No. 1 was built.

In 1964-1965 academic year the enrollment of students was carried out already in three specialties: "Russian language and literature", "Mathematics", "Natural science". The number of students increased to 284 people, 23 full-time teachers began to work at the university. First replacement competition vacancies enriched the institute with 6 candidates of sciences, 5 of them had the academic title of associate professor: Ph.D. Associate Professor Belousov I.P., Candidate of Veterinary Sciences, Associate Professor Shiyanov A.T., Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor Mitroshkina A.G., Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Bloch M.I.

In 1963, on the basis of the Department of Biology and Chemistry of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics (due to the increase in the number of students), the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology with the Department of Physical Education was formed.

In order to attract the most prepared youth, training courses, 137 students were recruited, most of them working youth of the machine-building plant, SU-6, SU-2, employees of kindergartens, the department of culture, primary school teachers.

The most important component of the educational process was the pedagogical and field practice of students. Teaching practice was held in city schools №№3,7,11,18,23. Each teacher was assigned several academic groups for consultation, control and guidance. In addition, students worked in schools as pioneer leaders, assistants to class teachers, and leaders of various circles. Students were trained in pioneer camps in Pavlodar region.

The field practice of students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology was combined with field work in state farms of the region and was built according to the type of organization of work in a labor health camp. The practice lasted up to 42 days in various climatic zones - Altai, Bayanaul, etc.

The main priority of the PPI activity was the research work of teachers and students; new forms of research and development work are being actively introduced; a number of complex and economic contract works are being carried out; The teaching staff of the institute actively defend dissertations for the competition degrees candidates and doctors of sciences (Zikrin O.Z., Shcherbinko Z.P., Datkaev A.M. and others).

Scientific work at the Department of Mathematics is connected with the activities of Art. pr. Mukanova G.M., Shayakhmetova T.K., Turchinsky L.I., Shatalina M.I., who worked on the topic “Unity of education and upbringing in the process of teaching mathematics”. The introduction of programmed learning in the schools of Pavlodar and the Pavlodar region has strengthened the professional cooperation of the departments of PPI and teachers of the region. Scientific development continued. Topics of a research, scientific-pedagogical, scientific-applied, methodological nature were developed: 41 scientific topics were studied, within which about 40% worked teaching staff. At the departments, scientific student circles began to be organized, at the meetings of which reports, abstract presentations on selected topics were heard, new literature on problematic issues was studied. Research work covered up to 42% of students.

Intrauniversity scientific conferences began to be held, the first of which was devoted to "The development of national relations in the transition from socialism to communism." Presentations were made by Ph.D. Burankulov G.I., Art. A.N. Gritskov Ave., V.I. Lobanov Ave. and Geiger R.M.

At the same time, the staffing problem was solved. Thanks to scientific work, the replenishment of the institute with young specialists who underwent primary training at the PPI began. This process was also facilitated by the policy of prioritizing the direction of university teachers to the target graduate school, which was carried out by the union and republican ministries.

Implementation of the "Law on strengthening the connection of school with life and further development of the system public education in the USSR", inspired the staff of the PPI to organize the "University pedagogical knowledge", through which pedagogical knowledge was disseminated, an exchange of experience was ensured on the methodology of teaching academic disciplines.

During the formation of the university, an active search was carried out for optimal forms and methods of activities for the education of students, the foundations for managing the educational process were laid.

The main attention of the administration, dean's offices, departments, as well as party, trade union, Komsomol organizations was concentrated on solving the issues of organizing and implementing educational and educational processes. Educational work was built on the basis of plans approved by the party bureau of the institute. They contained the main directions of education: the study of Marxist-Leninist theory, political and educational and cultural work, military-patriotic education, mass sports, scientific work with students, work in dormitories, formation of relations between the institute and organizations of the city and region.

On the basis of the general institute plan, the educational process was built at faculties, departments, and in academic groups. It included political studies of teachers and employees of the institute: lecture and propaganda work; cultural events, press and radio work; mass-political and sports-mass work, agitation-mass activities among the population and students of the city.

The most important section of the education of teachers, staff and students was political education. For political informants of student groups, consultations were organized, which were conducted by teachers of the Department of Marxism-Leninism (Burankulov G.I., Deryagin E.P., Rakhiberdinov K.R., Valyanov M.V.). The approved topics included the problems of the current political situation in Europe, Latin America, People's Republic of China, etc.

The seminar on the study of Marxism-Leninism was led by the teacher of the Department of Marxism-Leninism VI Groshev; study of the history of the Communist Party Soviet Union(CPSU) was headed by A. Evenings dedicated to the life and work of writers, composers (V. Shakespeare, T. Shevchenko, M. Lermontov, P. Vasiliev, Vs. Ivanov, S. Yesenin, composer L. Van Beethoven), poets of Pavlodar. Disputes, conversations were held in groups on the problems of the professional qualities of the teacher, the moral qualities of the individual. Competitions "For the best group of communist study and life" were held.

University life was covered on the pages of the wall press: the all-institute newspaper "Pedagogue", faculty newspapers - "Philologist", "RILLOT", "Winged Youth". At the faculties, in the dormitories, "lightning", "fighting sheets" were issued. A radio newspaper went on the air regularly, a radio club functioned (headed by Mikheev A.V., student Kugotenko Yu.). Photo showcases, photo montages, “photo reports of one hour” were popular, covering the life of the faculties.

In the dormitories there was a body of student self-government - the student council (student council), chaired by Prokopenko A., Altergot D. The student council developed the conditions for contests for the best room, the rules for living in a hostel. Thematic evenings of questions and answers, debates, lectures, meetings with interesting people, “weeks of departments”, conversations, lectures, reports on moral and ethical topics, evenings of music, poetry, KVN were held weekly. According to the results of the competition student hostels Hostel No. 2 of Pavlodar region was recognized as the winner and awarded Honorary diploma Regional Committee of the Komsomol of Kazakhstan.

For the physical improvement of students, sports sections were created, a sports club was organized, olympiads, sports days were held. During the year, 45 sportsmen-dischargers were trained. Up to 25% of students were engaged in sports sections. At the agrobiological station (village of Chernoyarka), a labor sports and recreation camp is being created. Students of the faculty of physical culture went here for training camps, students of the chemical-biological and other faculties who had field practice trained. 30% of students fulfilled the standards of sports categories.

The main work was carried out by teachers of the Department of Physical Education: Kuts A.S., Borodikhin V.A., Lytkin V.A., Kalugin I.Z. They organized the work of sports sections, conducted swimming lessons, led the sports day, organized one-day and multi-day hiking trips. As part of providing patronage assistance, students and teachers for the school of the Chernoyarka state farm built and equipped a sports complex, consisting of a football field, athletics sectors, basketball and volleyball courts. Mass sports work was also carried out with the teachers of the institute through sports sections, sections of tourism, fishing and hunting, and health groups. Teams of teachers in volleyball, basketball, chess, badminton were created, which regularly participated in the championships of the institute.

For high results in city, regional and republican competitions in winter sports, the PPI sports club was awarded the challenge Red Banner of the Pavlodar City Executive Committee and the city committee for physical culture and sports. The team of cross-country skiers PPI became the 3rd prize-winner of the Republic of Kazakhstan among universities. At the republican competitions SDSO "Burevestnik" the PPI sports team took 1st place in volleyball, 3rd place in skiing, 5th in athletics, 6th in handball. The winners of the republican games among student youth were the following students: Chekmareva (skiing), Ni A. (gymnastics), Barabash, Bargannikov V. (skating), Ponomarev V., Popov V. Student Bargannikov V. became the winner of the USSR championship among juniors and represented Kazakhstan at international competitions.

Labor education was implemented through student construction teams (SSO), work as pioneer leaders, sports instructors in pioneer camps, and at training camps. PPI students worked in the state farms of the Pavlodar region in the construction of cattle yards, the construction of residential buildings, hostels, greenhouses, a brick factory, mechanical currents, baths, kindergartens. For good performance in their work, many students received bonuses, certificates of merit, thanks from the district committee of the Komsomol. The PPI detachment, stationed at the Kaskolsky state farm, in the socialist competition between 14 detachments of various educational institutions won 1st place and received the challenge banner of the district.

As part of the Month of Assistance to Rural Schools, all state farms carried out the construction of school workshops, carried out repairs in schools, and updated the equipment of sports grounds. In all state farms, during the period of work of the MTR, evenings of rest, friendly matches in football, volleyball were held, lectures were given to local residents. In the detachments of the MTR there are "difficult" schoolchildren and adolescents, with whom certain work was also carried out.
