But this is ideal, but practice, unfortunately, differs from ideal conditions, and according to it, such a flight takes twice as long. Why so?

    • Firstly, that the Earth and Mars do not stand still, but constantly move in orbit, and you can’t just launch a rocket from point A to point B. Because if you launch a ship to where Mars is now, while it flies the planet will go further along orbit, and therefore you need to aim ahead of where Mars only appears, for this, again, you need to very carefully calculate the flight path, because a mistake can be very costly.
    • Another difficulty when flying on Mars is fuel, or rather its limitations. Assuming that our spacecraft has unlimited fuel, we can simply fly directly to Mars, accelerating to the middle of the path, and then deploy all the nozzles and slow down. But this will require an incredible amount of fuel and, as a result, incredibly giant ship to carry all this fuel.

The technology of magnetism is based on the use of a special electromagnetic device that will ionize and heat rocket fuel, turning it into ionized gas, or in other words, into plasma, which will accelerate the spacecraft. With this method, the flight can hypothetically be reduced to 5 months.
    • The use of antimatter. This is perhaps the strangest of ideas, although it may also be the most successful. Antimatter particles can only be obtained in a particle accelerator and according to physics elementary particles and the famous Einstein equation, when particles and antiparticles collide, an enormous amount of energy is released that could be used in such a useful way. According to a preliminary calculation, in order for a ship to reach Mars, only 10 milligrams of antimatter would be needed, but for the production of even this small amount of antimatter, at least $ 250 million would need to be spent. The very same flight to Mars with the help of antimatter, again, according to preliminary calculations, will take only 45 days.
